It’s that time of year again – beach trips, fetch with Frisbees, summer BBQs, and of course, the 4th of July!
While the 4th is a favorite holiday for American humans, our dogs aren’t quite so thrilled. Many dogs are simply terrified of fireworks – in fact, lost pets increase 30% between July 4 -6, as many pets run off due to being frightened by fireworks. For many animal shelters across the country, it is the busiest time of year. Volunteers work long hours on the 5th as they struggle to reunite frantic families with lost pets.
It stinks to have our pups petrified of the patriotic holiday many of us enjoy so much. That’s why we've put together a new infographic detailing tips on how to keep your canine safe & happy during 4th of July fireworks!
